A native of Wentzville, Fr. Truss comes to us from Sacred Heart in Valley Park, where he especially enjoyed working in youth and young adult ministry. “I really believe we are starting to see a rebirth of faith in our country, and it is coming especially from the young,” says Fr. Truss. Before entering seminary, Father studied the classics at Thomas Aquinas College in California and taught theology and Latin to high schoolers for five years through Mother of Divine Grace School, a California-based distance learning program. Father is excited to begin at St. Francis Borgia High School, and after having spent time at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish as a seminarian, sees his new assignment in Washington as something of a homecoming. “This is such a wonderful community,” says Fr. Truss, "I can’t wait to see what God has in store!”
