Zero Hour Strength & Conditioning

1 semester, ½ credit

Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors

This course is designed to increase strength, conditioning, and agility.  The course will provide opportunities for cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and endurance.  Students will be required to show increases in strength and conditioning.  Students will be instructed in a range of techniques and proper methods to develop certain muscle groups. 

This course will be held from 6:45 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday of each week.


By the completion of this course, students will be able to…

  1. Understand and apply all safety principles of the weight room.
  2. Develop a workout tailored to their needs and/or activity.


By the completion of this course, students will know…

  1. Stretching techniques to prevent injuries 
  2. Safety principles of a weight room
  3. Lift with proper form to avoid injury
  4. Different types of workouts and the muscles that are affected 

 This class cannot be taken concurrently with 705 Strength & Conditioning.
