Sophomores 1 semester, 1/2 credit; Juniors and seniors have the option for 1 semester 1/2 credit, or 2 semesters, 1 credit

Open to sophomores (approval of instructor required), juniors, and seniors

This is an elective that focuses on the skills necessary to publish the student yearbook. These skills include interviewing, writing and revision, photojournalism, and layout and design using professional grade software on Macintosh computers. Students will be required to complete some assignments outside of the school day and attend mandatory staff meetings. Students also will learn an appreciation for the First Amendment and media ethics.
