700 Physical Education/Health

1 semester, ½ credit

Required for freshmen and sophomores not enrolled in 602 Band Color Guard, 609 Concert Band or 610 Marching Band

This class is taken twice, comprising a two-term course with one unit of credit.

This is a Physical Education course that covers general body development and mental health development through a variety of programs. These programs include flexibility, aerobics, basic weight training, fitness walking, and jogging. Also included are basic games, techniques and rules for volleyball, basketball, soccer, touch football, speedball, and softball. The health units are nutrition, substance abuse, general hygiene, first aid, and C.P.R. The class will be graded pass/fail.
