Luke 18 is a retreat focused on helping youth find their way to God. Incoming freshmen are invited to attend the retreat the weekend before the start of school. Luke 18 invites young people to come to Christ. It is a way for incoming freshmen to explore their faith as well as open up to themselves and to others.
Holding it at the start of freshman year shows them that Borgia is a faith-filled school, and that students can be comfortable in their faith. The small groups that are formed become a faith family they can rely on if they want to grow closer during the school year.
Upperclassmen students can apply to serve as Luke 18 leaders by submitting an application to the Campus Minister. The leaders meet several times over the summer to plan the retreat. Mrs. Amanda Wunderlich is the moderator of Luke 18 Retreat.
