918 Accounting II

1 semester, ½ credit 

Open to any student who has taken 917 Accounting I 

This is a course designed to expand on the knowledge learned in Accounting I. Students will be able to complete all of the jobs done by a payroll accountant. Both a merchandising business and a corporation will be discussed as long as using Special Journals.

 

Skills 

By the completion of this course, students will be able to…

  1. Analyze a merchandising business transactions and record them correctly in various accounting forms.
  2. Complete all special journals in the accounting cycle.
  3. Complete all paperwork done by a payroll accountant.
  4. Fill out accounting forms for a corporation.

By the completion of this course, students will know… 

  1. How to complete accounting for the payroll
  2. Accounting for a merchandising business organized as a partnership
  3. Accounting for a merchandising business organized as a corporation
