622 Drawing II

1 semester, ½ credit

Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors

Prerequisite: 621 Drawing I 

This course offers the opportunity for the advanced drawing student to work more independently and, ideally, more creatively. It will offer the student the opportunity to experiment and choose his/her own directions within drawing projects. Students will practice advanced use of drawing materials as well. A major emphasis will be on developing a total composition, using the elements and principles of design effectively. 


By the completion of this course, students will be able to…

  2. Apply drawing techniques.
  3. Imitate drawing styles.
  4. Design their own compositions.
  5. Draw with originality. 
  6. Use color theory with colored pencils.
