430 Algebra II

2 semesters, 1 credit

Open to juniors and seniors

Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in 410 Algebra I and 420 Geometry or a minimum grade of C in 426 Introduction to Algebra II and/or teacher approval

Algebra II is an expansion of Algebra I topics such as order of operations, factoring, operations of polynomials, exponents, solving equations, and simplifying radicals. Additional topics include systems of equations, functions, graphing, complex numbers, logarithms, and conic sections. Students must maintain a minimum C+ average to enroll in 440 Honors College Algebra. A TI-84 graphing calculator is required for this class.
