SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES


There are many summer opportunities to explore your interests and expand your knowledge. There are also some other summer programs for our students who can enrich their lives by helping others. Some programs are in-state and others are out-of-state/country. We have listed a few and will add to the list as we receive them. Check with your counselor about any of these programs. Note that some have application deadlines.

High School Mini Medical School. University of Missouri – Columbia.    Go to http://som.missouri.edu/hsminimed.shtml.  One week  for academically talented students interested in a career in medicine.  Juniors only.  March 15 deadline.

 

United States Military Academy at West Point.  Summer Leaders Seminar. Apply online at www.admissions.usma.edu.  Deadline is April 1.  Juniors only.

Washington University in St. Louis High School Summer Scholars Program.  College credit courses offered.  Must have a B+ average and a score of at least a 25 on ACT or PLAN test.   For more information go to www.summerscholars.wustl.edu.
