Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 22, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Parents can pick up First Quarter Report Cards in the foyer before proceeding to their children's classrooms to meet with their teachers.

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with your children's teachers and check on your student's progress.

Out of courtesy to fellow parents, please keep all conferences to five minutes or less. If more time is needed, please make an appointment.

NOTE:  During the afternoon and evening of the conferences, current wait times will be available here.

Report cards can be obtained online through Family Access.

Open House

Borgia will hold an Open House on Sunday, October 26, from 12:00-2:00 pm. The entire community is invited. This is an excellent opportunity for all members of the community to visit Borgia and learn more about becoming a member of the Borgia family.

Visitors to the campus will be able to visit with faculty and see and hear a variety of demonstrations and presentations, featuring the new Project Lead the Way STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Lab and the use of iPads in the classrooms. Our guests will also have an opportunity to try their hands at being on-air anchors in the television studio. School musicians will perform in the main lobby. Guided tours of the campus will be given by members of the National Honor Society and SFBRHS Ambassadors. Refreshments and door prizes will be available.

The administration, faculty, staff, and students encourage everyone to attend.

Borgia & Beyond

The Borgia and Beyond continuous improvement initiative had its first meeting of 2014-2015 in September.

This meeting focused on two key areas. First, the team brainstormed around the question "What characteristics will Borgia have when it is the perfect school?" Although the team agreed that Borgia is already a successful school, the goal of Borgia and Beyond is to never be satisfied and to always strive for an even greater school! After the brainstorm, the group identified specific tasks to pursue in future meetings, including...

Spiritual Habits for Catholic School Graduates

This task force will search for opportunities to help students extend their faith, have a renewal of faith, or find Christ for the first time in high school.

Advanced Placement Courses Study

This task force will determine the potential benefits of AP courses and whether the school community favors an increase in AP course and test offerings.

Elective Course Study

What things do our students want to learn about that are not currently being offered? This group will explore course guides at other high schools to determine what should be added to our repertoire of courses and how we compare with other high schools in our effort to offer a wide range of curriculum.

Inquisitive and Critical Thinking Students Study

This task force will explore using the rubric developed last year in Borgia and Beyond to potentially measure student curiosity and how it affects critical thinking skills.

Inclusive Curriculum Study

This task force will study ways to make our school as inclusive as possible for students of a wide range of ability levels, including researching successful practices for students with special needs.

The Borgia Leader

This group will research ways for all students to gain leadership experience and will construct potential opportunities for students to work with area businesses to grow their business acumen and potential to lead in their future workplaces.

Each task force will be asked to create a testable hypothesis about their findings.

Parent input is crucial to these task forces! If one of these initiatives appeals to you, please plan to join us Wednesday, October 8, at 6:00 pm in the Borgia Cafeteria!

2014-2015 Tuition & Financial Assistance Information

In an effort to maintain a high quality academic and spiritual education, we have determined it will be necessary to increase our tuition by $200 per student for the 2014-2015 academic school year. Our tuition will be $6700. This 3% increase of tuition offsets the 3% raise in the cost to run our school. We have also determined that it will be possible to keep the fee schedule at $355. Our fundamental goal is to continue to provide the most affordable Catholic education possible for all of our families.  This necessary 3% tuition increase goes far in holding to our objective.         .

We are aware that as ambitious as our attempts are to keep our tuition affordable, we still have families that will be in need of tuition assistance.  Because of the generosity of numerous donors and our school fundraisers, we are pleased to continue to offer tuition assistance to our families that have a need. We are happy to offer tuition assistance when needed, but you cannot get this assistance unless you submit a FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment application.  A link to this site is available just under the photo on the top of this page.
