Borgia Theatre, in conjunction with Borgia On Stage Society and Borgia Back Stage Society, will produce the Neil Simon comedy God's Favorite for its first main stage production of the year. God's Favorite is a modern re-telling of the biblical Book of Job, in which God tests the faith of his favorite mortal. This production will be staged November 11 - 13 at 7:30PM in the Borgia Theatre.
Borgia Theatre has applied to have this show adjudicated for the Missouri State Thespian Conference. If the show is adjudicated positively, it could be chosen as one of two schools from throughout the state of Missouri to stage a show at the state conference. Keep your fingers crossed that God's Favorite also becomes Missouri's favorite!
The winter season will bring the production of William Gibson's masterpiece The Miracle Worker. This play tells the story of Annie Sullivan and her attempts to bring language to a young Helen Keller. The Miracle Worker will play January 27 - 29 at 7:30PM in the Borgia Theatre.
This year's spring musical will be Footloose. Based on the hit movie from the 1980's, Footloose is the story of Ren, a teenager who moves to a small town only to discover that dancing is forbidden. Loaded with popular and fun music, Footloose will have you dancing on night long. It runs April 7 - 10 in the Borgia Theatre.
